The long-term relationship: Kooiman Group and Borrie
This involves all kinds of vessels and floating objects, such as fishing vessels, (pusher) tugs, inspection vessels, inland vessels, ‘brown fleet’ vessels, houseboats, yachts, (work) pontoons and hopper dredgers. The group has organised its activities into five subsidiaries, which complement and assist one another.
The Kooiman Group is a true family firm, which now has around 150 employees. Rinus and Wim are currently at the helm and although the other brother Nico is enjoying his rest on paper, he can regularly be found at the yard. Since Borrie was founded in 1950, she has been offering its services to the company. A client from the very beginning, whereby several generations from both sides have already worked together successfully.
Clients know the Kooiman Group as a company that keeps its promises. That results in long-term relationships with loyal customers and confidence in the future. It also justifies the capital deepening investment in a new slipway at the Hoebee shipyard, which can accommodate ships up to 150 metres long. Borrie and the Kooiman Group have several similarities: there is an emphasis on such things as a unique personal client relationship, agreed is agreed, no surprises and quality. That is why it is good to work to with the Kooiman Group: we understand each other.
